Description: This position is responsible for efficient operation of cream and anhydrous milk fat (AMF) processing equipment.

 

Pay: $19.00-23.00/hr starting wage, depending on experience, plus $1.00/hr shift differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
  • Verify quality control items such as: (weights, fats, pH, ingredients, etc.)
  • Understand and ensure proper temperature/cooling for processing.
  • I.P. all equipment throughout the department.
  • Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats.
  • Operate all process room equipment at an efficient level to fulfill production needs.
  • Responsible for minor maintenance and equipment adjustments.
  • Relief operation of the margarine system as needed.
  • Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Ability to identify and communicate process and equipment deficiencies as they arise.
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved.
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Able to understand daily production needs.
  • Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • One year internal or equivalent external experience preferred.
  • Must obtain HACCP certification.
  • Must obtain Pasteurizers License.
