Description: The Fluid/Dryer Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the processing of ingredients in the Fluid and Dryer plant. This includes managing personnel and production schedules, ensuring adherence to Grassland procedures, safety policies, and quality standards, and ensuring that customers receive products within their requested specifications. The role also includes involvement in new projects and the development of new fluid products.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all plant personnel, including safety, food safety, quality, and production operations.
  • Assist in setting plant-wide budgets for cost control and ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide departments with production rates to measure efficiency and optimize output.
  • Determine and allocate staffing needs based on plant requirements.
  • Develop and ensure effective leadership training for plant supervision and leads.
  • Monitor reports related to accounting, production, safety, food safety, quality, and maintenance.
  • Resolve and mitigate plant-related issues promptly, tracking corrective actions to completion.
  • Enforce Grassland Safety Policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Work Instructions, and Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of morale and motivation throughout the plant, fostering a positive work environment.

 

Position Requirements:

  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
  • Evidence of training skills obtained through formal management training.
  • Demonstrate abilities in leadership, organization, delegation, and control.
  • Basic computer skills needed.
  • Successful completion of Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) Training
